Installation & Updates

Installation & Activation

Installing WHMPress is quick and straightforward. Follow the steps below to install and configure both the WordPress plugin and the WHMCS Helper module.

Step 1: Install the WHMPress WordPress Plugin

  1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Plugins → Add New.
  3. Click the Upload Plugin button.
  4. Click Choose File and select the whmpress.zip file.
    • The whmpress.zip file is included in the package you downloaded from your WHMCS Client Area.
  5. Click Install Now.
  6. Wait for WordPress to upload and install the plugin.
  7. Once the installation is complete, click Activate Plugin.

Step 2: Install the WHMPress Helper Module in WHMCS

After activating the WordPress plugin, you need to install the WHMPress Helper module in your WHMCS installation.

  1. Download the plugin package from your WHMCS Client Area.
  2. Locate the whmpress_helper.zip file included in the package.
  3. Extract the whmpress_helper.zip archive.
  4. Upload the extracted whmpress folder to the following directory in your WHMCS installation:
/modules/addons/

Your directory structure should look like this:

/modules/addons/whmpress/
  1. Log in to your WHMCS Admin Area.
  2. Navigate to System Settings → Addon Modules.
  3. Locate WHMPress Helper and click Activate.
  4. Configure the required permissions if prompted.

FTP Installation

If you prefer to install the plugin manually via FTP:

  1. Extract the plugin package.
  2. Upload the whmpress folder to:
/wp-content/plugins/
  1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Plugins.
  3. Locate WHMPress and click Activate.

Updating WHMPress

To update WHMPress to the latest version:

  1. Download the latest version from your WHMCS Client Area.
  2. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
  3. Navigate to Plugins.
  4. Deactivate the existing WHMPress plugin.
  5. Delete the old plugin (your settings will remain intact).
  6. Upload the latest whmpress.zip file.
  7. Activate the plugin again.

Note: Your existing settings and configuration will be preserved during the update process.
