Installation & Activation
Installing WCAP WHMCS ClientArea is quick and straightforward. Follow the steps below to install and configure both the WordPress plugin and the WHMCS Helper module.
Step 1: Install the WCAP WHMCS ClientArea WordPress Plugin
- Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
- Navigate to Plugins → Add New.
- Click the Upload Plugin button.
- Click Choose File and select the
WHMpress_Client_Area_API.zipfile.- The
WHMpress_Client_Area_API.zipfile is included in the package you downloaded from your WHMCS Client Area.
- The
- Click Install Now.
- Wait for WordPress to upload and install the plugin.
- Once the installation is complete, click Activate Plugin.
Step 2: Install the WHMPress Helper Module in WHMCS
After activating the WordPress plugin, you need to install the WHMPress Helper module in your WHMCS installation.
- Download the plugin package from your WHMCS Client Area.
- Locate the
whmpress_helper.zipfile included in the package. - Extract the
whmpress_helper.ziparchive. - Upload the extracted whmpress folder to the following directory in your WHMCS installation:
/modules/addons/
Your directory structure should look like this:
/modules/addons/whmpress/
- Log in to your WHMCS Admin Area.
- Navigate to System Settings → Addon Modules.
- Locate WHMPress Helper and click Activate.
- Configure the required permissions if prompted.
FTP Installation
If you prefer to install the plugin manually via FTP:
- Extract the plugin package.
- Upload the WHMpress_Client_Area_API folder to:
/wp-content/plugins/
- Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
- Navigate to Plugins.
- Locate WHMpress_Client_Area_API and click Activate.
Updating WHMPress
To update WHMPress to the latest version:
- Download the latest version from your WHMCS Client Area.
- Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
- Navigate to Plugins.
- Deactivate the existing WHMPress_Client_Area_API plugin.
- Delete the old plugin (your settings will remain intact).
- Upload the latest
whmpress.zipfile. - Activate the plugin again.
Note: Your existing settings and configuration will be preserved during the update process.
